Work Schedule: 12:30pm to 9pm on 4 weekdays and on Sunday What we offer: $20.00/an hour Weekly Pay Employee Discount Referral Bonus Pre-Tax Saving Accounts Profit Sharing Family culture and career advancement opportunities Medical, RX Drug, Dental, Vision, EFAP Benefits and other voluntary plans after 30 days of employment Position Summary: Provides friendly and efficient customer service, order processing and delivery support to customers of Halperns Steak & Seafood via phone, email and internet. Strengthens customer relationships through strong product knowledge and product application, delivery coordination, and error resolution. Essential Functions: Serve as liaison between the Outside Sales Representative and customer. Develop and Maintain customer relationships. Supports and partners within assigned division and customer assignment. Manages customer orders manually and completes timely callbacks/e-mails to discuss edits and confirm complete orders. Maintain current knowledge of product and system status within divisions to assist Outside Sales Representatives and customers. Serves as information resource to Outside Sales Representatives, on product related questions regarding inventory levels and general product information Arrange exception deliveries in collaboration with Transportation departments, 3rd party order/delivery systems, aligned with Halperns. Support Outside Sales Representatives with order entry. Performs other duties as assigned. Knowledge / Skills / Abilities: Must have excellent written, verbal, organizational and communication skills. Must have the ability to multi-task, prioritize and be able to work independently or within a team environment. Highly motivated self starter with a focus on details and accuracy in a fast paced environment Must be a strategic thinker, inquisitive, innovative, and creative in order to build relationships, network, link resources and apply business practices Must have good customer service and time management skills. Ability to problem solve and develop solutions on a variety of complex business issues with the ability to balance customer needs within the framework of Gordon Food Service business practices Ability to demonstrate understanding of Foodservice industry and operations for Non Commercial Segment Ability to adapt to frequent technological and GFS proprietary application changes and program functions (used Chains) Understand USDA dietary regulations and commodities Ability to perform 10-key data entry Equipment / Tools / Technology: Desktop or laptop computer Networked printer/copier/facsimile machine Google Apps (Chrome, Gmail, Calendar, Docs, Sheets, Drive, Sites, Groups, etc...) Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Internet Explorer) GFS Business Applications, including Dobbin II and other GFS sales order entry software Telephone & headset Educational & Experience Requirements High School / Equivalent Minimum Years of Experience Two years previous inside sales or customer service experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
