The pay for this role is $24 - $30 per hour DOE. Do you have a passion for people, and are looking for a reliable, enjoyable time role where you will be valued? If so, we cant wait to talk with you! We have an exciting opportunity at Skyline, a Transforming Age community. Our Fitness Specialist: Assesses and evaluates senior residents needs for exercise and fitness. Works with residents individually and in groups. Plans individual fitness programs for participating residents; Supervises or presents exercise programs that may include exercises in the pool; Assists team members with orientation to Fitness Center, procedures, and policies; Produces promotional materials, newsletters, flyers, etc. as required; Inspects, cleans and maintains equipment; Maintains records of residents progress; Assist with collecting data and reports for fitness activities as required Provides in-service trainings as required; Works in collaboration with other professionals to provide appropriate assistance to residents; Performs administrative functions for the department; Promote the Mission, Vision, and Values of Transforming Age in all areas of responsibility; Other duties as assigned or may be necessary in an organization having overlapping roles and responsibilities. What you need to succeed! Bachelors degree in an exercise-related discipline preferred, or the equivalent combination of education and experience (3 or more years of fitness related experience National Fitness Certification required (ACSM preferred, but not required. Experience in prescribing exercise to special populations preferred; Must be able to demonstrate proper uses of the exercise equipment; Physical Requirements include: Must be able to physically assist in safe exercise and the safe operation of the equipment. Must be able to lift, push, pull up to 75 lbs.
