Mid-Level Transportation Analyst Company: The Boeing Company Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) has an exciting opportunity for a Mid-Level Transportation Analyst (Level 3) to join our Emergent Operations team in Seattle, Washington on 1st, Shift Monday through Friday with occasional rotating weekend shifts, as needed. This role supports enterprise transportation and logistics across all business units critical to the supply chain health, enabling production, and meeting various program needs. This is a new position due to increased growth on our Emergent Operations team. The Transportation Analyst will work to provide optimal solutions utilizing contracted carriers for all modes of transportation balancing schedule and cost. Position Responsibilities: Analyze transportation management processes to ensure they meet customer requirements Support function including problem analysis, tracking and tracing shipments, expedite shipment management Determine the most cost-effective methods for transporting goods without sacrificing efficiency and timeliness Create cost estimates, and present transportation options balancing cost and schedule Prepare documentation to support routing and logistics functional requirements Collect, analyze, and make recommendations using data about timeliness, cost, types of modes, etc. Interpret and apply logistics policies, processes and methodologies to support business initiatives Execute International freight transactions in accordance with Federal and Regulatory Agency guidelines Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience): 3+ years of experience working in logistics or transportation 3+ years of experience communicating with senior managers and executives, customers (internal and external), business partners / suppliers / subcontractors, and government representatives 3+ years of experience with multi-tasking and working in a team environment 3+ years of experience in a role that required strong interpersonal and communication skills 3+ years of experience using all the following Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): Bachelor's degree 3+ years of experience interfacing with senior and executive leadership 1+ years of experience with freight forwarding and/or transportation modes: FTL, LTL, International and Domestic Air Freight, Ocean, Small Parcel 1+ years of experience with documentation and certification requirements of dangerous goods in transportation in support to compliance initiatives Willingness and flexibility to work 1st, 2nd, or occasional rotating weekend shifts, as needed Drug Free Workplace: Boeing is a Drug Free Workplace where post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines, PCP, and alcohol when criteria is met as outlined in our policies.
