Were actively seeking a talented Senior Accountant II to join our Mortgage Loan Accounting team in Newport Beach, CA or Charlotte, NC. As a Senior Accountant II, youll move Pacific Life, and your career, forward by summarizing and reporting the mortgage loan investments for management, GAAP and statutory results. Also providing insight for investment activity to financial close groups. You will fill a new role that sits on a team of 9 people in the Investment Accounting group of Corporate Finance. Your colleagues will include Mortgage Loan Accounting Manager and fellow Mortgage Loan Accounting professionals. The team will cross-train to manage high volume operational requirements and validate report and system improvements. How youll help move us forward: Organizing and recording data from mortgage loan servicers to be consolidated with serviced loans. Record closing entries for financial reporting results. Review investment results for material accuracy and completeness. Monitor and coordinate cash contribution requirements for subsidiaries. Learn new tools to update processes and create efficiencies. The experience you bring: 8+ years of experience and/or 4-year degree or equivalent experience. Use of PeopleSoft, Oracle Fusion, SmartView and mortgage loan investment software. Work independently with minimal guidance. Act as a resource for colleagues with less experience. Lead functional teams or projects. Design and perform processing controls. What makes you stand out: Mortgage Loan investment operations and accounting experience. Previous experience on investment and loan servicing software. The ability to lead and document new investment opportunities and analyze servicer reporting. Experience with system upgrades and conversions with user acceptance testing documentation. The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to experience, qualifications and geographic location.
