Sun Valley, California **Pay Range: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour** The hourly pay rate for this position varies depending on experience, education, certifications, licensure, and location. Who We're Looking For We are currently looking to hire a Registered Veterinary Technician to join our team! The ideal candidate will be a dependable, detail-oriented team player who loves animals and being part of a fun, supportive team. They will have experience rooming patients, surgical assisting experience and knowledge of equipment used, drawing blood and running bloodwork, knowledge of x-rays and proper positioning, dental experience and understanding the importance of client education, and being a positive and motivating team member. Learn more about us at Shadow Hills Pet Clinic Requirements Registered Veterinary Technician, license must be current 2+ years of veterinary experience Obtaining accurate and thorough medical histories TPR Assisting doctor and other technical staff with restraint Blood draws (cephalic, saphenous, and jugular) Placing IV catheters Digital radiology including positioning. Dentistry (digital x-rays, scaling, polishing) Experience with dental extractions Anesthesia (induction, intubation, monitoring, aseptic technique) Laboratory skills such as ear and fecal cytology; HM5; Vetscan; Sedivue Excellent client communication/education Qualifications Experience as a veterinary technician or assistant. Strong animal handling skills and knowledge of clinical procedures. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Veterinary Technician Certification (CVT, RVT, or LVT) preferred or eligibility to obtain licensure based on state requirements. Degree from an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technology program preferred but not required. Responsibilities Assist veterinarians with exams, treatments, and surgical procedures. Safely handle and restrain animals; administer medications and vaccines. Collect lab samples and maintain accurate patient records.
