In this role, you will help prepare nutritious, appetizing meals for our residents while maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary kitchen environment. You will play an important part in ensuring residents receive meals that meet both their dietary needs and personal preferences. Your Day-to-Day Assist the Dietary Manager with meal preparation and food production Prepare and serve meals following approved menus and recipes Ensure meals are prepared according to physician-ordered dietary restrictions and special diets Monitor food quality, presentation, and portion sizes Maintain a high level of cleanliness and sanitation throughout the kitchen and dining areas Follow all food safety, infection control, and sanitation guidelines Store food and supplies properly and safely Assist with meal service and tray preparation as needed Wash dishes and clean kitchen equipment as assigned Help ensure residents receive meals that meet their nutritional needs Work collaboratively with dietary staff and other departments to provide excellent resident care Qualifications Preferred Candidates Will Have: Reliable transportation At least 18 years of age Previous cooking or food service experience, preferably in a healthcare, rehabilitation, or long-term care setting Knowledge of dietary restrictions and therapeutic diets Compassion for the geriatric population Strong teamwork and communication skills Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment What Makes You a Great Fit Friendly and dependable Takes pride in preparing quality meals Understands the importance of food safety and sanitation Enjoys serving others and making a difference Team-oriented with a positive attitude Committed to providing excellent service to residents Apply Today Join Reedy River Post Acute and become part of a team that values your hard work, supports your growth, and appreciates the important role you play in residents' daily lives.
