City, State: Aurora, Colorado Title: Banquet Bartender Location: Aurora, CO FLSA: Non-Exempt Status: On-call. Reports to: Restaurant Manager Pay Range: $19.00 per hour Job Summary: The Banquet Bartender is responsible for mixing, pouring, and serving both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages during events, following established guidelines. This role ensures guest satisfaction while maintaining compliance with legal regulations and minimizing liability. Essential Functions and Duties: Provide professional and courteous service to guests at all times. Mix, pour, and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages as required by the banquet event order. Set up and stock bars in advance of all events with necessary beverages and supplies. Inventory all beverage products before and after each event for cost reconciliation. Secure all alcohol and equipment at the close of each event. Serve alcoholic beverages responsibly, ensuring compliance with legal limits. Collaborate with the Banquet Manager to control costs and maintain cost-to-sales ratios. Work with security to ensure intoxicated guests are refused additional beverage service. Attend department meetings and contribute to the overall success of banquet services. Required Experience, Education, and Skills: Previous experience as a bartender, preferably in a banquet or event setting. Knowledge of mixing, garnishing, and serving drinks. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to handle cash and process payments accurately. Familiarity with alcohol service regulations and TIPS certification (or must be obtained within 30 days of hire). Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing guest needs. Work Environment: Primarily an indoor role, with protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes. Frequent standing and walking for extended periods during events. Requires lifting and carrying items up to 20 lbs., with frequent handling of objects up to 10 lbs. Must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
