Number of Positions: 1 Position Overview Impact Manager (IM) leads and develops a team of AmeriCorps members (ACMs) as idealistic, emerging leaders and practitioners focused on strengthening schools and supporting students to improve performance. Reporting to an Impact Director and working from a partner school(s), the IM plays a critical role in implementing City Years school-based Whole School Whole Child (WSWC) service model, mission, and practices. The IM is also an effective talent developer who will support AmeriCorps members through a challenging and rewarding year of service. To learn more about City Year Greater Boston, please visit: City Year Greater Boston | City Year Position Overview City Year Greater Boston (CYGB) seek Impact Manager (IM) candidates who will manage and mentor up to two teams of full-time AmeriCorps members, overseeing the implementation of our service model in the partner schools we serve in Boston and Everett Public Schools. Impact Managers are responsible for three main areas: program implementation, corps member program delivery and experience, and service partner management. The Impact Manager must be effective in relationship development and team management, coaching AmeriCorps members (ACMs) per team to deliver attendance, Role Impact Manager Schedule Full time, Hybrid Direct Reports AmeriCorps members per school partnership (ACMs) Reports to Impact Director Site Location Boston behavior, and course performance supports to students, as well as enabling a rewarding, productive, professional and successful year of service. In this way, the IM is responsible for managing the daily programmatic operations of their team and leading them to ensure that all goals and service outcomes are met. Additionally, the Impact Manager serves as the primary City Year liaison in schools, building strong relationships with school administrators and personnel to successfully fulfill the services in the Statement of Partnership. Reporting to an Impact Director, the Impact Manager plays a critical role in implementing City Year Greater Bostons school-based service model. Impact Managers are expected to serve in person at their school site, except on days when there are in-person meetings or trainings. This role is expected to work a 40-hour workweek, with standard work hours falling between 7am- 5pm, Monday Friday, depending on the needs of the program. Responsibilities Service Impact Delivery: Lead the execution of City Years Whole School Whole Child (WSWC) Tier 1 supports and Tier 2 interventions. Oversee whole school and class service implementation, including instructional support, thematic events, and culture enhancement. Establish clear, measurable objectives aligned with WSWC goals and capture best practices for community sharing. Utilize data analysis from various sources to identify trends, improve interventions, and enhance ACM performance. Supervise and support ACMS in executing coordinator roles and fulfilling service responsibilities. Corps Impact Delivery: Lead, manage, and coach up to two teams of AmeriCorps members to achieve service performance requirements, meet AmeriCorps practitioner standards, and support members through their individual equity journeys Lead with a strong sense of City Year culture and values, consistently using City Year culture tools; make meaning of City Year culture and foster strong personal connections to the deeper meaning of our work in schools Guide ACMs to meet service performance requirements and maximize leadership development potential. Foster a culture of power and idealism using City Year leadership tools and best practices. Utilize performance management tools to set expectations, identify strengths, and facilitate individual development plans. Ensure ACMs are committed to student success and equipped to meet City Year standards. Support the management and development of Returning AmeriCorps Members (RACMs)/Team Leaders. Partner Impact Delivery: Develop and manage partnerships with school administration and personnel to ensure the necessary conditions and resources are in place for corps members to deliver academic, attendance and behavior supports for students. Build and cultivate strong partnerships with school leaders and key stakeholders. Demonstrate understanding of school priorities and collaboratively implement solutions aligned with City Year goals. Maintain a strong presence in schools, utilizing student data strategically to gain support for initiatives. Coach ACMs on developing productive partnerships with teachers and other school staff. Cultivate strategic community relationships and leverage resources to enhance service performance. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in education, Social Work, Urban Studies, Youth Work, or other related field preferred but experience in management, non-profits, community service and/or youth work, or education is acceptable Proven relationships and experience working with/in Boston Public Schools or as a contracted provider with Boston Public Schools is a plus Experience with and the ability to work with principals, assistant principals, and teachers to meet shared goals which includes having difficult conversations around partnership accountability Demonstrated ability to work with and lead diverse teams of young adults which includes experience coaching young people and working with diverse populations to achieve goals Excellent written and verbal communication skills including active listening skills Strong problem solving, time and project management skills; ability to prioritize projects and tasks, assess and deploy resources Willingness to take on new challenges, pursue self-development and self-directed learning Ability to work as an independent leader and as a team member in a collaborative environment Proficiency in computer skills (i.e. MS Office) and experience using databases to document service work City Year/AmeriCorps/Peace Corps experience is a plus Strong connection to City Year culture and values, for more information visit: https://www.cityyear.org/about-us/culture-values Required Documents A cover letter and resume must be submitted to be considered for this position. Compensation and Benefits Full-time employees are entitled to compensation commensurate with experience. The salary Rage for this role is $50,000-$59,000.
