Job Summary Performs simple, repetitive tasks within the general or specialized accounting functions of a department. Posts journal entries, processes payments, verifies information, files, and assists in the preparation of reports. Primary Responsibilities: Performs repetitive tasks within general or specialized accounting functions of a department. Performs routine and repetitive accounting duties under close supervisor with specific instructions. May check matching payments to accounts receivable, plus invoice and purchase order items. May assist in preparing bank or cash room statements and journal vouchers. May assist the Budget tracking, forecasting, and P-Card monthly report processing Requirements: Must be an Accounting Major. Able to use a 10-key calculator by touch. Good eyesight and manual dexterity. Able to communicate in English. Preferred Qualifications: Understand basic accounting procedures. A high school graduate or the equivalent. No prior work experience necessary.
