Full Job Description

Hours: 1st Shift: 6:30am - 3:00pm Monday through Friday Pay: $20+/hr based on skillset The hand welder will require a person to set up, operate, and/or tend hand-welding machines to produce weldments. This person must pay high attention to detail and work under limited supervision. They must efficiently perform hand welding. This job involves collaborating with other team members to help meet department goals and objectives. Position Responsibilities: Read and conform to schematics, drawings and other work instructions Set up jobs by selecting appropriate fixtures, weld patterns, components, programs, tooling, etc. Operate welding equipment and tune to optimize the welding process for quality and efficiency Minimum Qualifications: Minimum high school diploma, GED or equivalent school with relevant work experience Minimum 1-3 years of welding training/experience Maintain high safety standards and be able to work in a fast-paced environment Ability to lift at least 40 lbs. regularly and bend, squat, walk or stand for extended periods of time Ability to pass a welding test Preferred Qualifications: 3+ years of welding experience Score of 4+ on the Weld test and >85% on the General test At Ventrac we are always working to make sure our employees know just how valued they are.
