Job TitleResource Specialist I - Seasonal Agency Texas A&M Forest Service Department Purchasing Department Proposed Minimum Salary$20.45 hourly Job LocationLufkin, Texas Job TypeTemporary/Casual Staff (Fixed Term) Job Description ***This is a seasonal/part-time position.*** The Resource Specialist will maintain the Lufkin grounds and assist with routine maintenance and repairs of agency owned buildings. Responsibilities: -Perform both routine and non-routine maintenance on established facilities within the agency. Construct/build/remodel facilities as needed to support agency operations. Construction must follow established standards and safety requirements. -Work in extreme weather conditions (extreme hot/cold/rain/sleet/snow). Long drives in State vehicle may be required. Overnight stay may also be required. -Other duties as assigned. Education and Experience: Required Education: High school diploma Preferred Education: Technical or Trade school certification Required Experience: None Preferred Experience: Five (5) years in construction or related field Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Required Knowledge: Follow standard construction methods, basic electrical and plumbing. Required Abilities: Able to operate power tools. Work from heights and in close quarters. Be able to work independently and on team projects. Multi-task and work cooperatively with others.
