Available Title(s): 678K-YN_CS_NPS - Custodian 3 Business Title: Custodian 3 Employee Type: Classified Position Details: The Opportunity: As the Custodian 3 for Auxiliary Facilities Services, you will play a key role in maintaining the cleanliness, appearance, and care of assigned facilities. Under general supervision, you will perform a variety of custodial duties while helping to ensure departmental cleaning standards are consistently met. In this role, you will also provide leadership and guidance to assigned Custodians by training, instructing, and assisting team members as needed. You will work closely with the supervisor, providing support with daily operations and departmental needs. Depending on operational requirements, you may participate in interviewing and recommending candidates for hire, conducting employee training, assigning and scheduling work, responding to leave requests, contributing to performance evaluations, and recommending corrective or disciplinary actions. Additional Information: This is a full-time (100% FTE), permanent position. This position is overtime eligible. Monthly Salary: $3,485 to $4,633 | Range 38 Steps A - M | Successful candidates are typically hired at the beginning of the salary range and receive scheduled salary increment increases in accordance with WAC 357-28. In accordance with RCW 49.58.110, the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidates current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position. Required Qualifications: Physical ability to do required work and one year experience in housekeeping, janitorial, general or building maintenance, or custodial work OR one year experience as a Lead; OR equivalent education/experience. Must have, or be able to obtain by time of hire, a valid drivers license and meet requirements in accordance with SPPM 7.10 and departmental driving standards.
