About the Opportunity The Postdoc will be working on multidisciplinary research projects in the Bendable Electronics and Sustainable Technologies (BEST) Group led by Prof. Ravinder Dahiya. BEST group aims to bring fundamental changes in the way the sensors and electronic devices are developed using materials designed for sustainability, and resource efficient printed electronics on flexible substrates and their innovative use in applications such as robotics, and wearable and interactive systems. Qualifications: The successful candidate having a strong foundation in at least a few of the following areas: high-mobility materials based printed electronics, transient electronics (various sensors, circuits, energy devices etc.), degradable materials, micro/nanofabrication, nanowire synthesis using various methods, technologies for printed electronics, tactile sensing and haptics, electronic skin and its application in robotics and wearable systems. Knowledge of simulation tools (e.g., Multiphysics finite element analysis, Matlab, Labview etc.) cleanroom experience, and characterization of electronic devices are required. Further, knowledge of system level integration and haptics feedback in real and virtual agents will be a plus. The successful candidate must have a Ph.D. or equivalent degree in related engineering and science disciplines. The candidate must have progressively responsible experience that demonstrates the ability to plan, execute, and manage research activities, including mentoring and supervising. The researcher will be team player and interact regularly with an interdisciplinary team. She/he will also have an opportunity to supervise the research activities of graduate students in the group.
