This position will be responsible for the resolution of claims of average complexity and low to mid exposure claims. The primary purpose of this job is to investigate, evaluate, negotiate and settle assigned claims by collecting and analyzing data according to policy application and/or contract provisions. The position will have responsibility for decision making within their authority and work under the general direction from their manager. Responsibilities: Investigate, evaluate, and resolve management liability claims, including D&O, EPL, and Fiduciary Liability, under supervision. Analyze policy coverage under primary and excess insurance policies; assist in making coverage determinations and drafting routine coverage correspondence. Coordinate with defense counsel and internal teams on litigated claims; monitor progress and assist in moving claims toward timely and cost-effective resolution. Maintain accurate claim files, documentation, and updates in the claim system in accordance with internal standards. Communicate regularly with policyholders, brokers, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information and provide claim updates. Work collaboratively with team members, including senior examiners and managers, on more complex claims and coverage matters. Assist in preparing claims summaries, reports, and presentations as needed. Support internal processes and initiatives as directed by management, including audit response and reporting. Participate in ongoing training to build technical knowledge and enhance claim-handling skills. Requirements: 25 years of experience handling insurance claims, preferably in management liability (D&O, EPL, or Fiduciary). Strong written and verbal communication skills. Familiarity with policy interpretation and coverage analysis. Bachelors degree preferred; insurance or legal coursework/designations (e.g., AIC, CPCU) a plus. Ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Collaborative mindset and willingness to learn from senior team members and leadership. Pay information: The base salary offered for the successful candidate will be based on compensable factors such as job-relevant education, job-relevant experience, training, licensure, demonstrated competencies, geographic location, and other factors.The salary for the position is $60,450 - $85,800 with a 12% bonus potential.
