Candescent is seeking a detailoriented and highly skilled Senior Accountant to support our growing Finance organization. This role will play a critical part in ensuring accurate financial reporting, supporting monthend close, strengthening internal controls, and partnering crossfunctionally to uphold accounting integrity as the company scales. The ideal candidate thrives in a dynamic, fastpaced environment and brings strong technical accounting knowledge, process discipline, and a proactive mindset. Key Responsibilities & Deliverables Core Accounting & Close Lead components of the monthly, quarterly, and yearend close, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis. Maintain the general ledger in accordance with US GAAP, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and integrity. Prepare supporting schedules and documentation for financial statement audits. Technical Accounting & Compliance Research and interpret guidance on complex accounting issues (e.g., ASC 606, ASC 842) and prepare technical memos as needed leveraging internal precedent from the Technical Accounting team. Assist in implementing and maintaining accounting policies and internal controls that align with Candescents compliance standards and SOCrelated expectations. CrossFunctional Collaboration Partner with FP&A, Legal, Sales, and Operations to ensure accurate financial treatment of contracts, spend, and business initiatives. Support audits by preparing schedules and responding to audit requests. Process Improvement Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and enhance the accuracy and efficiency of financial reporting. Support systems improvements (e.g., ERP enhancements, automation initiatives). Qualifications & Experience Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance. 46+ years of progressive accounting experience (public accounting and/or SaaS/technology industry preferred). Strong understanding of US GAAP. Experience with monthend close, reconciliations, and audit support. Advanced Excel proficiency. Ability to thrive in a highgrowth, fastpaced environment with shifting priorities. Role is onsite in Melville, New York Preferred Distinctions CPA or progress toward CPA. Experience in fintech, SaaS, or highgrowth, PEbacked environments. Experience with ASC 606 revenue accounting or ASC 842 lease accounting. Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite) and process automation tools. MUST BE OKAY WORKING FROM THE MELVILLE, NY OFFICE 5 DAYS A WEEK. The base salary range for this position is $80,000 $100,000 per year. This range represents the expected base compensation for this role and is based on factors such as skills, experience, geographic location, and jobrelated qualifications.
