Work Experience: Entry-Level (Foundational) Work Experience Description: Suitable for students with basic foundational knowledge and little to no practical experience, ideal for freshmen or sophomores who have completed only introductory courses. Department First Aid & Security Position Scope Applies compresses and assists in various other basic treatments such as providing aspirin-free pain relievers, cleaning minor wounds and abrasions, and applying band-aids. Takes and records guest/employee temperature, and records any other symptoms observed regarding the injury or illness. Records injury and illness and submits them to the manager of the safety Department. Observes guest/employee and reports any adverse reactions to supervisor. Follow up with the Safety Committee and report and update to the Compensation Department. Assembles and uses various types of first aid materials and equipment. Requirements Must have a good working knowledge and understanding of basic First Aid operations, treatments and procedures. Must be familiar with the various cultural traditions and attitudes of Pacific Island and Pacific Rim countries. Must be able to become First Aid and CPR certified. Must be capable of a full range of body movement. Must be able to speak, read and write fluently in English. Fluency in a foreign language is desirable but not required. Should be a high school graduate or the equivalent. Preferred Qualifications First Aid/ CPR/ AED certified. Prior work experience. Proficient in English with strong writing skills.
