The Opportunity This position works out of our Casa Grande, Arizona location in the Abbott Nutrition division. Our Nutrition business develops science-based nutrition products for people of all ages, from helping babies and children grow to keeping adult bodies strong and active. Youll be accountable for meeting our compliance standards including FDA, OSHA and Abbott policies and procedures. What You'll Work On: Lead the planning, design, and execution of capital and infrastructure projects including site development, utilities, roadways, drainage, and structural improvements. Manage project scope, schedule, budget, and quality to ensure successful delivery. Coordinate with cross-functional teams including architects, consultants, contractors, and regulatory agencies. Prepare and review engineering designs, technical specifications, and construction documents. Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and cost-benefit analyses. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including permitting and environmental requirements. Oversee construction activities, perform site inspections, and resolve field issues. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and project staff. Support capital planning efforts by identifying infrastructure needs and developing project proposals Required Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Civil / Structural Engineering, or closely related engineering discipline is required. Minimum 7+ years of experience in engineering and project management, with a focus on capital and infrastructure projects. Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook for planning, reporting and collaborating. Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, construction methods, and project delivery systems. Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera), AutoCAD, and civil design software (e.g., Civil 3D). Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with infrastructure projects or working in a industrial manufacturing setting. Familiarity with sustainable design practices and green infrastructure. Knowledge of contract administration and procurement processes. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. PMP certification preferred, but not required Strong understanding of Design Control, Good Documentation Practices (GDP), and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP). Familiarity with GAMP5 and FDAs Computer Software Assurance initiatives are preferred.
