This position will be located in Roy, Utah and will support the Sentinel program. The selected individual will provide SW development for the Integration and Test organization and do the following: Design and define system architecture for new or existing Software Products Develop Software in an agile development environment Design automated test procedures for test execution teams Work with the lead test engineer and a team of software developers to establish and develop automated tools Develop Software Test Plans and Procedures for team software products Position Benefits As a full-time employee of Northrop Grumman, you are eligible for our robust benefits package including Medical, Dental & Vision coverage 401k Educational Assistance Life Insurance Employee Assistance Programs & Work/Life Solutions Paid Time Off Health & Wellness Resources Employee Discounts This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. Basic Qualifications: Principal software Engineer: 5 Years with Bachelors in related field of study, 3 Years with Masters, 1 Years with PhD or 4 additional years in lieu of a degree. Sr. Principal Software Engineer: 8 Years with Bachelors in related field of study, 6 Years with Masters, 4 Years with PhD or 4 additional years in lieu of a degree. US Citizenship with Active DoD Secret clearance with a reinvestigation date occurring in the last 6 years. Ability to obtain Special Program Access (SAP). Experience with Agile and working in a cross-function Scrum team. Experience with the Atlassian Tool Suite including Jira and Confluence Working knowledge of Object-Oriented Analysis and Design Principles Experience programming in object oriented (C++, Python, JavaScript). Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) languages (SysML/UML) and concepts Experience with Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) Familiar with Software Development Plans Familiar with Software Engineering best practices Experience demonstrating excellent technical leadership, interpersonal, and oral and written communication skills, effectively engaging with various stakeholders Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or higher in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) Proficient with DOORS, Cameo with the ability to write and decompose system requirements Ability to evaluate risks and tradeoffs and present solution options to management Experience with UI design and development, or experience Interpreting complex algorithms and requirements for implementation Familiar with Systems Engineering processes Ability to provide and implement solutions to advanced problems which require ingenuity and innovation Capable of working with minimal direction, independently determines and develops technical objectives of assignments, and presents work upon completion for high level review #Sentinelsoftware Primary Level Salary Range: $98,400.00 - $147,600.00 Secondary Level Salary Range: $122,800.00 - $184,200.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
