Job Summary Working under the direction of Mechanical Engineers, the Mechanical Engineering Co-op will complete design and testing activities on new products and modification to existing products. Essential Functions Create new designs and modifications of existing designs using CAD. Create studies and geometry comparisons of existing envelopes to confirm form and fit of revised/modified designs. Develop new CAD assemblies and models from concept sketches. Execute product testing plans to verify new product designs. Required/Preferred Education and Experience High School Diploma and active enrollment in the co-operative education program of an accredited university pursuing mechanical engineering required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Training in CAD modeling and assembly. Experience building parts and assemblies using 3D printers is a plus. Must work well with others. The hourly pay rate for this position is: $20.00 to $24.00 Factors which may affect this rate include shift, geography, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
