Description of Work Salary Range: $39,671 - $69,426 Reporting to the SRG Correctional Captain III, this position provides supervision for subordinate officers regarding their assigned tasks within a Minimum/Medium/Close custody state correctional facility. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: - Conducting inspections of personnel to determine if they are physically and mentally capable of assuming an assigned post - Supervising subordinate officers within the defined work area. - Completing, reviewing, and maintaining reports, duty rosters, leave schedules, performance evaluations, and administrative forms. - Accounting for persons and funds to ensure that all assigned equipment is operationally ready. - Responsible for subordinate officers' activities relating to the SRG, custody, and welfare of offenders. - Working rotating and various duty assignments within the defined level of work. (The selected candidate may be scheduled to work any shift and will work weekends and holidays to ensure 24/7 staffing coverage.) Criminal Justice Education and Training and Standards Commission. This is a full-time position working rotating shifts with State Benefits.
