We are seeking an influential Principal Financial Analyst to act as a key liaison to our FP&A organization as we implement a new ERP. This role is a critical bridge between the broader enterprise initiative workstreams and finance teams, focused on enhancing our budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver who can guide teams through remediation efforts and connect advanced analytical expertise with a deep understanding of financial operations. Role requires strong communication, problem solving, strategic thinking, and influencing skills in order to effectively: Articulate outcomes of analysis and relevant insights Partner with business leadership to assess the financial implications of ongoing efforts to grow the organization Develop presentations to communicate business and analysis results to senior leadership audiences General Responsibilities: Partner with the Project Manager on project plan execution Provide financial expertise to ensure new financial system aligns with FP&A goals and supports accurate forecasting, budgeting, and reporting processes Identify opportunities to optimize and streamline FP&A processes during implementation Recommend and implement best practices to enhance financial data accuracy, accessibility, and usability Serve as a key liaison between FP&A teams, project manager, program teams and other stakeholders Business presentations: Assist in development of presentations and other communication of system and process changes to senior audiences, clearly articulate outcomes of analysis to leadership teams Support change management efforts by identifying potential challenges for FP&A teams and recommending solutions Ad-hoc requests and special projects Independently manage and prioritize workload Basic Qualifications Bachelors Degree or military experience At least 3 years experience in financial analysis At least 3 years experience with financial modeling Preferred Qualifications: Masters Degree in Business Administration (MBA) or Masters Degree in Finance Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) license or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license 4+ years experience in financial analysis 4+ years experience with financial modeling 3+ years experience in strategic analysis & planning At this time, Capital One will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position. McLean, VA: $117,300 - $133,900 for Principal Financial Analyst Richmond, VA: $106,700 - $121,700 for Principal Financial Analyst Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidates offer letter. This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI).
