Job Description Summary This role serves as the primary daytoday administrator and executor for Salesforce Marketing Cloud Engagement, supporting the configuration, execution, and ongoing operation of marketing and customer communications initiatives. Working as part of a crossfunctional team, the role partners closely with Marketing, Communications, Compliance, IT, and Salesforce platform stakeholders to deliver compliant, datadriven campaigns and journeys within a regulated financial services environment. In addition to Marketing Cloud responsibilities, the role provides supporting Salesforce CRM administration to ensure data models, integrations, permissions, reporting, and automation effectively enable marketing execution and longterm platform sustainability. This is a handson role requiring regular platform configuration, execution, and operational support across both Marketing Cloud and Salesforce CRM. Key Responsibilities Marketing Cloud Engagement Serve as the primary execution and administration resource for Salesforce Marketing Cloud Engagement. Configure and maintain Marketing Cloud components including Email Studio, Journey Builder, Automation Studio, and Contact Builder. Build, execute, and support email campaigns, automated journeys, and triggered communications in partnership with Marketing and Communications teams. Use SQL to build and maintain data extensions, segmentation queries, and automation logic supporting campaign execution. Maintain and enhance customer journeys, decision splits, data relationships, and personalization logic. Monitor campaign performance, subscriber engagement, and automation health, providing insights to improve targeting and personalization. Perform quality assurance, testing, rendering validation, and pre-send checks to ensure accuracy and compliance. Maintain Marketing Cloud data hygiene, subscriber management, and synchronization processes. Support content and data reviews with Legal and Compliance to ensure adherence to CAN-SPAM, GDPR, and internal data usage standards. Document operational processes, standards, and Marketing Cloud runbooks. Salesforce Core Administration Provide supporting administration for the Salesforce CRM platform to enable marketing and communications use cases. Configure Salesforce objects, fields, page layouts, validation rules, and Flow automation related to marketing processes. Support user access, roles, profiles, permissions, and security controls in alignment with compliance requirements. Maintain CRM data integrity, consent data, and reporting used for segmentation, compliance, and customer communications. Collaborate with the Salesforce Architect/Product Owner on enhancements and platform changes impacting marketing operations. Compliance & Governance Operate within established governance models and change management processes. Support compliance with industry regulations including ERISA, SEC, FINRA, and GDPR. Assist in maintaining audit trails, documentation, and approval records for CRM and marketing activities. Follow approved data-handling, access, and encryption standards. Qualifications Bachelors degree in Marketing, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. Salesforce Certified Platform Administrator (Strongly Preferred). Salesforce Certified Marketing Cloud Engagement Administrator (Strongly Preferred). Salesforce Certified Marketing Cloud Email Specialist. 36 years of hands-on experience supporting Marketing Cloud Engagement, with supporting Salesforce administration experience; experience in a regulated industry strongly preferred. Experience using SQL for complex joins, data normalization, and behavioral or transactional segmentation. Working proficiency in AMPscript and HTML/CSS for dynamic content, personalization, and troubleshooting, with at least 6 months of hands-on experience. Strong understanding of CRM data models, marketing automation, consent management, and customer lifecycle management. Knowledge of email compliance and data governance best practices, including CAN-SPAM and GDPR. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives and execute within defined governance frameworks. Strong communication and collaboration skills to work cross-functionally with Marketing, Communications, Compliance, IT, and platform leadership. Preferred Skills & Experience Experience working within Agile or formal project delivery frameworks. Experience with Marketing Cloud Connect, including CRM data synchronization, Contact Key strategy, and Salesforce-to-Marketing Cloud data flows. Experience building multi-step, decision-based journeys in Journey Builder. Exposure to Einstein features (Send Time Optimization, Engagement Scoring, personalization) is a plus.
