Building Name: UVMMC - 1 South Prospect Street Location Address: 1 South Prospect, Burlington Vermont Regular Department: Pharmacy Outpatient UHC Full Time Standard Hours: 40 Biweekly Scheduled Hours: Shift: Day/Eve Primary Shift: - Weekend Needs: As Scheduled Salary Range: Min $22.28 Mid $28.69 Max $35.10 Recruiter: Jason Dubuque JOB DESCRIPTION: The Outpatient Pharmacy Technician is certified by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB). The Outpatient Pharmacy Technician works under the direction and supervision of a pharmacist, performs those duties which do not require the professional training and judgment of a pharmacist. The Outpatient Pharmacy Technician has specialized knowledge in pharmaceutical nomenclature, medical terminology and mathematical calculations involving dilution of concentrates, weights and measures and ratios. Skills in aseptic compounding of intravenous medications are validated using competency-based training as a frequent quality control audits. The Outpatient Pharmacy Technician consistently performs and builds on prior knowledge gained from performance as a Pharmacy Assistant and National Certification requirements. The Outpatient Pharmacy Technician maintains good business practices to ensure success of company within the mission of Fletcher Allen Health Care. EDUCATION: Candidate must possess a High School Diploma or GED plus one year of post high school education or relevant work experience required. Candidate must possess and maintain active status as a Certified Pharmacy Technician. EXPERIENCE: One year minimum retail pharmacy within past 5 years, one year minimum experience in a health system pharmacy. Equivalent alternate pharmacy experience is acceptable.
