Position Overview The Key Account Manager (KAM) will serve as the primary on-site representative of Solenis to one of the largest refinery customers in Washington State. This role is responsible for protecting and growing the account by delivering technical expertise, strong relationship management, and reliable service excellence. You will act as the face of Solenis at the refinery, ensuring that all water treatment programsboiler, cooling, and wastewateroperate efficiently, safely, and to customer expectations. Key Responsibilities Account Leadership & Customer Engagement Serve as the primary point of contact for the refinerys operations, engineering, and environmental teams. Build and maintain strong customer relationships to understand operational needs and long-term objectives. Lead strategic account planning, performance reviews, and valuedelivery presentations. Technical Program Management Oversee and optimize Solenis water treatment programs across: Boiler systems Cooling towers Wastewater treatment Conduct routine system audits, data reviews, and performance monitoring to ensure program effectiveness. Troubleshoot system challenges and identify continuousimprovement opportunities. Service Delivery & Support Provide regular on-site presence, technical recommendations, and operational support. Collaborate with Solenis application specialists and technical resources to resolve complex issues. Document treatment performance, deviations, and corrective actions. Business Growth & Commercial Strategy Identify valueadded opportunities to expand Solenis product and service offerings. Manage contract renewals, pricing discussions, and proposal development. Track account performance against revenue and profitability targets. Qualifications Required Minimum 3 years of hands-on water treatment experience, specifically in: Boiler water chemistry Cooling water systems Wastewater treatment processes Strong technical troubleshooting and problemsolving abilities. Excellent communication skills with ability to interface at all organizational levels. Valid drivers license and ability to work safely inside an industrial refinery environment. Preferred Experience working with large industrial customers (refining, petrochemical, or power). Background with water treatment chemical programs or service management. Bachelors degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field. Success Traits Customercentric mindset with strong relationshipbuilding skills.
