We are currently hiring Rail Yard Operator/Drivers in Oklahoma City, OK. This role is essential to the daily operations of our terminal and is responsible for the safe and efficient movement of shipping containers within the intermodal rail yard, ensuring that all operations run smoothly. This role requires a strong understanding of operating heavy equipment and the ability to operate them safely in a busy environment. Rail Yard Operator/Driver Pay: $22.00 hourly Shifts: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Schedules: Open availability to work weekends, holidays, etc. Benefits: Medical, Dental & Vision Insurance (3 plan choices) 401(k) Company-Paid Life Insurance Voluntary Benefits Paid Time Off Opportunity for Growth Please Watch both Video Job Descriptions: Ground Position: https://youtu.be/F1vctjt-nyE Hostler Driver: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Re9NDb5MRsQ Responsibilities: Responsible for directing crane operators with moving cargo containers and preparing railcars for loading and unloading. Operate heavy equipment to load and unload shipping containers from railcars and trucks. Drive hostlers to position containers and chassis within the yard. Use top loaders, side loaders, and/or cranes to stack, move, and organize containers. Perform equipment inspections before and after use to ensure operational safety. Communicate with yard personnel and supervisors to coordinate moves and tasks. Maintain a safe work environment by following established protocols and procedures. When working on the ground you will be responsible for removing and installing IBC locks. Requirements Proven experience in truck driving or related roles is preferred. Familiarity with operating any of this equipment: Side Loader, Forklift, or Crane is a plus. Strong mindfulness and ability to follow instructions accurately. Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks. Excellent communication skills and a collaborative attitude. Willingness to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays. A valid driver's license is required; additional certifications may be beneficial. Ability to climb ladders and stairs both off and on railcars. 18 years of age or older Must comply with established safety rules, policies, and procedures, including wearing required safety equipment. Must pass pre-employment background verification, physical and drug screening. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in intermodal or rail yard operations. Familiarity with container handling equipment such as hostlers, top loaders, or cranes. CDL or equipment certifications a plus but not required.
