The Senior Supplier Quality Engineer will be responsible for driving quality for assigned suppliers, including quality plan implementation. You will select suppliers through qualification processes, own supplier results, drive improvements utilizing supplier scorecards, own supplier audits, ensure compliance, and drive improvement plans where needed. You should have in-depth knowledge of quality management best practices and have working knowledge of competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market. This role is eligible for remote work - preference to the states listed that are near major GE Aerospace suppliers. Job Description Roles and Responsibilities Manage supplier qualifications, action plans, audits, performance monitoring, and assisting key suppliers towards industrial standards of excellence Drive supplier development actions and in some cases introduction into the aerospace supplier quality requirements Create project and action plans to ensure supplier deliver new product that meets all quality requirements with proper first time yield Drive root cause and corrective action plans across suppliers Identify process improvements needed to drive better first time yield resulting in improved delivery Collaborate with Design and Manufacturing Engineers on design for manufacturability improving producibility Identifying gaps in quality system driving corrective actions needed to closure Balance both tactical execution with strategic initiatives necessary to drive cost reduction projects Present product / program strategies, roadmaps, risks and recommendations to senior leaders Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience Utilize technical experience and expertise for data analysis to support recommendations Travel from 25% to 50% required Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or institution (or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in Quality Systems, Quality Engineering, Supplier Quality or Supply Chain Manufacturing) A minimum of 5 years' experience in Quality Systems, Quality Engineering, Supplier Quality or Supply Chain Manufacturing Desired Characteristics Strong background in supplier quality and supplier management Sub-commodity leadership experience Experience in airfoils or structural castings Experience managing quality or manufacturing teams Strong interpersonal and leadership skills Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems Established project management skills GE Aerospace offers comprehensive benefits and programs to support your health and, along with programs like HealthAhead, your physical, emotional, financial and social wellbeing. The base pay range for this position is 110,000.00 - 140,000.00. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidates experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary/ commission based on the plan.
