Visiting Lab Lecturer - Chemistry

Department Chemistry & Biochemistry, Chair Compensation $53,000.00 to Negotiable Annual General Description: This is a 9-month, non-tenure earning, Visiting Laboratory Lecturer of Chemistry position in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry. Responsibilities include a 5/5 teaching load, or its equivalent, and service to the department, college, and university. Supervisor: This position will report to the Department Chair. Working Hours: Varies Supervision Exercised: This is not a supervisory role. Required Licensure: N/A Required Qualifications: Earned a master's degree from an accredited institution in the field of instruction or a closely related discipline by the employment start date. Preferred Qualifications / Skills: Previous, documented experience in teaching undergraduate chemistry laboratory courses. Demonstrated commitment and capability to provide an excellent learning environment, apply student-centered instructional methods, and contribute to the development and implementation of curricular content. Anticipated Start Date: The position is expected to begin on August 3, 2026. About the Department: The Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry at UNF offers Chemistry baccalaureate degrees, with concentrations in General Chemistry, Pre-medical Professions, and Materials Science, and a Biochemistry baccalaureate degree. Masters level degrees are offered in Materials Science and Biomedical Sciences, but other programs are being developed closely related to drug discovery and health research.
