SHIFT: Part-Time, 3 days of availability (including nights and weekends) required SALARY: $18.00/hr WORK LOCATION: San Diego, CA (Miramar) ROLE SUMMARY: The Bartender performs daily bar operations and maintains established operating procedures to provide the highest level of customer services while creating a positive environment and experience for guests. They multitask and manage a fast-paced work flow while taking orders and preparing classic and innovative beverages. They continue to engage with guests to ensure theyre happy with their experience. This position works under the direction of the Tasting Room Assistant General Manager. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Consistently deliver excellent customer service by taking orders, preparing them efficiently, and building a rapport with clientele. Create authentic, custom guest experiences through a high level of attention to detail and service. Enter orders to POS system correctly and process payments. Handle card and cash transactions, ensuring that all funds in the cash drawer are accurate and accounted for at the end of the shift. Keep an eye on patron intoxication levels, respond appropriately and alert management. Identify customer issues, and work with management when needed to resolve promptly while maintaining a safe and positive environment. Unpack deliveries and stock bar. Change beer kegs. Maintain a high level of cleanliness and organization in the bar, service stations, storage areas, prep stations, and all other work stations assigned. Support the bar team by juicing, stocking, prepping, rotating kegs, products and flatware when needed. Display genuine enthusiasm for the brand, products and company mission. Offer knowledgeable recommendations based on customer questions and assessment of customer needs and preferences. Check customer identification in compliance with law and Tasting Room standards. Perform all opening and closing tasks are completed daily. Manage multiple tasks including fulfilling the duties as a busser, food runner and server. Embraces and fulfills the core values and culture of Cutwater Spirits. Other duties as requested JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Great communication skills. Outgoing personality. Ability to manage responsibilities in a high-demand, fast-paced working environment. Ability to problem-solve and deal with unique customer situations. Ability to follow oral and written instructions. Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends. Good time management skills; Can manage and complete priorities and workflow, and be detail-oriented. Ability to multi-task. Are able to follow detailed recipes and instruction. Must be at least 21 years of age. Knowledge of spirits, beer, wine, and classic cocktails. Possess basic math skills and have the ability to handle money and operate a cash register/POS. Must have reliable transportation and be punctual. High school diploma or equivalent required. Two or more years working in the food service industry required. Two or more years of cocktail-heavy bartending experience preferred. Must obtain food handlers certificate and RABS (within first 30 days of employment).
