May also be responsible for performing specific procedures and/or teaching duties. Job Description: This position will be at our 15 bed Hospice House at 115 Diamond Street in San Francisco. We are looking to staff this per diem position to cover 6 shifts over 6 weeks at a time, at a minimum on the day or evening shifts. We do offer free parking. EDUCATION: HS Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE: CNA-Certified Nursing Assistant BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider TYPICAL EXPERIENCE: 1 year recent relevant experience SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE: Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology, healthcare practices and universal precautions. Ability to interpret a variety of data and instructions, furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Possess written and verbal communications skills to explain sensitive information clearly and professionally to diverse audiences, including non-medical people. Well-developed time management and organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize assignments and work within standardized operating procedures and scientific methods to achieve objectives and meet deadline General knowledge of computer applications, such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and Outlook).
