Position Title: Arts Center Front of House Supervisor Job Posting Closing Date: 08/30 Provo City is seeking a part-time Front of House Supervisor for the Covey Center for the Arts to supervise the box office and assist customers of the Covey Center. Pay Rate: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour (depending on experience). What will I do? Supervise the daily operations of the box office during evening and weekend performances. Facilitate ticket sales. Supervise box office employees. Act as a liaison between clients, guests, and Covey Center staff. Provide excellent customer service to all guests. Assist with deposits, audits, scheduling, and training staff. Perform light custodial tasks as needed. Help in other areas of the building as needed. Perform other related duties as required. What requirements do I need to apply? High School Diploma or equivalent (GED). 2 years of box office or performing arts-related experience. Ability and willingness to work weekdays, evenings, weekends, and occasional holidays. Must comply with Provo City and Covey Center policies, procedures, and dress and grooming standards. Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and work flexible hours. Strong communication, critical thinking, problem solving, and organizational skills. Ticketing software experience is highly desirable. What are the hours? Work schedule is determined by performance schedule and will occur Monday through Friday between 5:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. and/or Saturday between 8:00 a.m. and 11:00 p.m. Long shifts may be required. Hours per week is also based on performance schedule but will not exceed an annual average of over 20. What are the physical and environmental factors? Work is indoors. Requires evening and weekend hours with some daytime work. May include exposure to high-stress situations or environments, including, handling emergency situations, meeting strict deadlines, contact with individuals in confrontational or uncomfortable circumstances, and other stressful conditions related to the workplace. Applicants must meet the minimum qualifications listed above to be eligible for consideration. If selected for hire, candidate will be required to successfully pass a drug screen and criminal background check. Non-disclosure may result in dismissal.
