JOB DESCRIPTION: Food Service Workers are essential in feeding everyone within the hospital. They may help with: providing extraordinary customer service to improve the customer experience while operating cash registers and serving food in dining areas, dishwashing, separating trash/recycle/compost, and re-stocking supplies. Job routines require customer interaction, operating cash registers and money counting, the ability to stand for long periods of time, and working as a team. Great attitude and navigation skills are helpful! Education: High School diploma or equivalent preferred, minimum 18 years of age. Experience: Prior experience in a high volume, fast paced food service environment is preferred. Knowledge/Special Skills: Ability to read, speak, write and understand English. Must possess excellent customer service skills and be able to follow basic oral and written instructions. Meets the physical demands of the job. Employees must have cash handling and money counting skills. Must be dependable no excessive absenteeism/tardiness - per department policy. Understands and follows safety and sanitation procedures. PAY & BENEFITS: Base Pay: Hourly rates starting at $21.22/hour and up based on experience. In addition to the hourly pay rate, evening/weekend/night shift workers receive a differential, depending upon which shift is worked. This is a bargaining union position.
