JOB DESCRIPTION Sales Assistant (Regular Full-Time) FOX 2 Detroit Join the team at Detroit's top-rated news station! FOX 2 Detroit is a dynamic media organization delivering content across multiple platforms. We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented team player to join our Sales Team and contribute to our continued success. As a Sales Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting the FOX 2 Sales Team and our efforts to drive revenue across all platforms. Your primary focus will be day-to-day support of Local Account Executives and Sales Managers while collaborating with digital sales, traffic, research, and other teams. Why Join Us? What You'll Do Support Account Executives with advertising order entry, revisions, and reporting in the WideOrbit Traffic system. Communicate with sales representatives and buyers regarding preempts, make-good offers, program changes, late runs, and other account activity. Provide weekly advertiser reports, including spot times and post reports. Collaborate with sales representatives and buyers to address invoicing, discrepancies, and collection issues. Support Sales Management with political advertising, including maintaining contracts, ensuring FCC documentation is complete, and verifying cash-in-advance payments. Collaborate with the Traffic department on advertising copy management. Support other station departments and initiatives as needed. Perform additional projects and duties as assigned. What We're Looking For Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Strong verbal and written communication skills with a positive, professional approach. Comfortable working with numbers and data with a strong focus on accuracy. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Ability to learn industry software, including WideOrbit, Media Sales, AOS, and other media platforms. Strong work ethic and collaborative, team-oriented approach. Associate or bachelors degree preferred, or equivalent work experience.
