Thanks for your interest in working on our team! Job Title: Video Editor Pay Details: The starting hourly rate for this position is $23.50 per hour. Summary of Position The Video Editor documents and produces content for internal and external events. The Video Editor will function as both videographer and editor. Responsibilities Work with game operations and arena staff on planning and development of special events and game presentation Contribute to the San Diego Gulls entertainment by editing content for team videos, commercials, marketing, and social media support Edit supervised and unsupervised sessions as directed; deliver finished video with color correction and audio mixed for delivery Shoot and light on green screen, in a studio or in the field Provide innovative ideas to continually modify and improve fan experience Work with all in-house departments as needed to assist with the creative development and integrated fulfillment of all initiatives as needed to help ensure an optimum branding presence Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience Minimum of one (1) year video editing; preferably in a professional sports environment Experience in sports and hockey is no mandatory but preferred Good storytelling skills, music and visual design sensibility is required Working knowledge of Adobe After Effects and the Adobe Creative Suite is required Knowledge of various video cameras and lenses for broadcast, ENG and Cinima shooting Knowledge of digital media concepts and applications required to deliver completed projects to broadcast outlets, websites and social media platforms Creative and self-motivated with a passion for sports and live event presentation Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet strict deadlines Knowledge of available in-house presentation & multi-media resources and control room equipment Flexible schedule with the ability to work nights, weekends, holidays and all home games Ability to work both independently and as a part of a team Knowledge, Skills and Experience Education - Bachelor's Degree Experience Required - 1-2 Year's This position is on-site. The San Diego Gulls took the ice on October 10, 2015 opening their inaugural American Hockey League (AHL) season in San Diego, California. Professional hockey in San Diego has a rich history, dating to the San Diego Skyhawks of the Pacific Coast Hockey League in 1944. The Gulls' home arena is Pechanga Arena. The Gulls are the primary affiliate of the Anaheim Ducks (National Hockey League).
