Were actively seeking a talented Sr IT Solutions Analyst to join our Actuarial Data Team in our Newport Beach office. How youll help move us forward: Gather, analyze, and document business requirements from actuarial and reinsurance stakeholders to develop effective data solutions Use SQL to analyze data, validate requirements, and support business reporting needs Lead requirement gathering sessions and ticket refinement meetings, translating business needs into clear technical requirements Develop comprehensive acceptance criteria and test plans to ensure quality deliverables Coordinate development requests through the testing phase and validate implementations against requirements Implement and monitor data quality checks within our data pipelines Create and maintain system documentation, user guides, and process documentation Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement system enhancements and process improvements Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and increase operational efficiency through data analysis Serve as a liaison between technical teams and business users, translating requirements in both directions The experience you bring: Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years of experience in business or systems analysis Strong SQL skills with experience writing complex queries Advanced Excel proficiency including pivot tables, complex formulas, macros, and data validation Experience with data analysis, reporting tools, and translating business requirements into technical specifications Experience writing detailed acceptance criteria and test plans for data implementations Knowledge of data quality concepts and implementation approaches Technical documentation experience for both technical and non-technical audiences Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail What makes you stand out: Knowledge of or experience in insurance, actuarial, or reinsurance domains Experience with Snowflake, DBT, AWS, and/or Control-M Python, R, or other programming language skills for data analysis and testing Experience with modern data pipeline architectures and ETL/ELT processes Agile methodology experience, particularly in refinement and sprint planning activities Project management experience or certification (PMP, Agile, Scrum) Experience with data modeling and database design principles Previous experience working with cloud-based data platforms You can be who you are. Base Pay Range: The base pay range noted represents the companys good faith minimum and maximum range for this role at the time of posting. The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to experience, qualifications and geographic location.
