Citigroup Global Markets Inc. seeks a Business Analytics Senior Analyst for its New York, NY location. DUTIES: Gathers operational data from various cross functional stakeholders to examine past business performance. Identifies data patterns & trends and provides insights to enhance business decision making capability in business planning, process improvement, solution assessment. Recommends actions for future developments & strategic business opportunities, as well as enhancements to operational policies. Perform exploratory data analysis, confirmatory data analysis and/or qualitative analysis. Translate data into consumer or customer behavioral insights to drive targeting and segmentation strategies, and communicate clearly and effectively to business partners and senior leaders all findings. Continuously improve processes and strategies by exploring and evaluating new data sources, tools, and capabilities. Work closely with internal and external business partners in building, implementing, tracking and improving decision strategies. Research new products/tools or analytical approaches to assess business applicability. Collaborate in the development or testing of new tools to ensure compliance with user requirements, specifications, or scope. Provide application or analytical support to researchers or traders on valuation and data-related matters. Collaborate with product development teams to research, model, validate, or implement quantitative structured solutions. Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency. Perform advanced data analysis and build dashboards to share insights with senior leadership. Develop core analytical capabilities using advanced statistical, quantitative, or econometric techniques. Develop methods to assess or measure corporate performance. Identify, track, and maintain metrics for business decision making. Review project activities to deliver technical projects on time. Schedule project plans with major milestones and specified due dates. Monitor and prioritize tasks based on the urgency of requests. Prepare requirements documentation for use by software development teams. Propose appropriate collaboration tools based on project needs. Deliver insights and critical messages through analysis to senior leadership. Find insights after analyzing data and connect them to the business problem. Create presentations with visuals and graphs, highlighting key insights for senior stakeholders. Use storytelling techniques to explain business problems and findings from analysis. Produce written summary reports of financial research and analytical results. Perform internal tasks related to the Voice of Employee (VOE) for team growth. Organize and plan VOE team events and maintain a knowledge base site for the team. Collaborate with senior leadership to organize knowledge-sharing sessions for the team. Create and analyze employee survey results to gather team feedback and present insights to senior leadership for informed decision-making. A telecommuting/hybrid work schedule may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite in accordance with Citi policies and protocols. REQUIREMENTS: Bachelors degree, or foreign equivalent, in Analytics, Information Technology or a related field, and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or in a related IT occupation performing advanced data analysis. Five (5) years of experience must include: Utilizing SQL, Tableau, Python, and Advanced Excel for identifying data patterns and trends; Supporting business planning, process improvement, and solution assessment; Interpreting raw data and performing data cleaning processes; Conducting pivot table analysis using Excel and/or Tableau; Visualizing data and creating charts and dashboards using Tableau and Python; Performing statistical analysis on various datasets to identify outliers; and Merging and consolidating data using VLOOKUP and Excel Power Queries, demonstrating advanced Excel skills. In the alternative, employer will accept a Masters degree, or foreign equivalent, and three (3) years of experience. Employer will accept pre or post- Masters degree experience. 40 hrs./wk.
