Flight Test Engineer (Associate or Mid-Level) Company: The Boeing Company The Boeing Company is looking for Flight Test Engineers to join our team in Seattle, WA. Were looking for engineers who can function in a dynamic and exciting flight test environment. Our engineers plan and complete testing of Boeing commercial and military derivative aircraft to assure product safety, performance, and regulatory certification. Our engineers lead extensive test program efforts from creation of requirements through flight execution and reporting. We perform functions including test planning, configuration control, test conduct, as well as data collection and analysis. There will be assignments that require occasional testing at local, domestic, and international sites for up to 2-4 weeks at a time. Travel will be required. The ideal candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced, high-intensity environment with changing requirements. Position Responsibilities Include: Supports the development and verification of test methods Develop detailed test procedures, and instrumentation and configuration definition, needed to perform the test and minimize risk within the constraints of the test plan Implements solutions to calibration systems problems of limited scope and impact Designs test hardware, software and systems to achieve test requirements Uses analytical tools to verify the design Analyzes, processes, and formats data to customer requirements Reviews test data, including off-nominal data, for accuracy, quality and/or fidelity prior to delivery to customer Prepares and publishes test reports to document test results and satisfy requirements Presents test results internally Archives data and reports Works under general direction Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science Willing and able to travel 10%-20% of the time, both internationally and domestically 2+ years of experience in an engineering role Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): Level 3: 4 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience 2+ years of experience working in a flight test and/or lab test engineering environment Experience in aerospace military asset testing Experience working with U.S. or foreign military Active Secret Clearance (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active) Ability to work in cross-functional teams and effectively communicate to establish a consensus on complex technical issues Drug Free Workplace: Boeing is a Drug Free Workplace where post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines, PCP, and alcohol when criteria is met as outlined in our policies.
