You will act as a local on-site program and company representative to residential customers. You would be educating power utility customers on Energy Waste Reduction. Can you think of a more timely business? Install basic energy-efficient equipment, and inspect customers homes for insulation, air sealing, HVAC equipment and make recommendations for saving energy and money! The Technician will work directly with our Utility Client's diverse, multi-lingual customer base. Please Note: Position is available in the greater Metro Detroit area. Candidates must live in or within a reasonable commuting distance from their territory. The employee will have a four-day work week, working 10 hour days. You will be provided a company van and need a clean driving record. This role is remote with no overnight travel. This is not a sales role! No cold calling required. Climb ladders up to 10 and lift / carry 50 lbs. Conduct installation of basic residential energy efficiency upgrades training provided. Provide technical advice, guidance, and training on installation, adaptation, configuration, or enhancement in accordance with client specifications training provided. Provide input and status updates to program staff regarding project scope, planning, and effectiveness of products. Provide technical expertise to identify, analyze and resolve issues. Show experience or interest and ability to learn about home construction and HVAC equipment to be an effective educator on the topic. Travel throughout a defined territory. Variable schedule.
