Job Description/Preferred Qualifications We are seeking a skilled Machine Learning/AI Scientist intern to join our Services AI Engineering team. The successful candidate will be a part of our AI innovations group driving advanced research and development for future KLA use-cases. This individual will play a key role in architecting, developing, and testing their research. Key Responsibilities: Research emerging AI technologies focused on multimodal models and AI databases Design, develop, and deploy proof of concepts from research Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate models into our existing systems and workflow Participate in AI research and systems architecture discussions and code reviews Conduct data engineering and analysis to improve model accuracy and efficiency Fine-tune models based on feedback and performance metrics Minimum Qualifications Qualifications: Masters degree and above in AI, Machine Learning, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field Hands-on experience in machine learning, natural language processing, and AI technologies Strong programming skills in Python and familiarity with ML libraries (Ex. TensorFlow, Pytorch) Experience with developing and deploying large language models either cloud or on-premise Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps Prior experience in a similar industry is a plus Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills Strong communication and teamwork abilities Base Pay Range: $40.00 - $50.00 per hour based on pursuit of a Masters and Ph.D. Primary Location: USA-MI-Ann Arbor-KLA KLAs total rewards package for employees may also include participation in performance incentive programs and eligibility for additional benefits including but not limited to: medical, dental, vision, life, and other voluntary benefits, 401(K) including company matching, employee stock purchase program (ESPP), student debt assistance, tuition reimbursement program, development and career growth opportunities and programs, financial planning benefits, wellness benefits including an employee assistance program (EAP), paid time off and paid company holidays, and family care and bonding leave.
