ELS is hiring for the position of Part-Time Ranger in Palm Desert, California. What you'll do: The Campground Ranger position assists in the day-to-day operation of the RV Resort Community. These duties include, but are not limited to, taking and processing reservations, acting as the first point of contact for guests, providing customer service, and patrolling the community as needed. Your job will include: Welcome and register all guests upon arrival, distribute park rules, vendor, and general information to guests while responding accurately to inquiries Check all arrivals for a valid Driver's License, vehicle insurance, and registration Maintain the ranger station's appearance and organization Provide detailed reservation information, member violations, and incidents to the manager as needed Record and collect all fees upon arrival Issue Membership Violations Answer prompt phone and radio calls for operational communication efficiency Modify and/or cancel reservations for RVs and Rentals Process credit/debit card charges for reservations and provide Daily Closeout Reports to the Administration Office Secure facilities and amenities Sales ambassador; refers leads to Membership Specialists for commissions Rental inspections before guest check-in periodically Emergency coordination with the team Respond to resort disturbances and guest incidents, and report all incidents to the resort manager Patrol the resort to ensure resort rules and policies are being followed by guests and contact the authority dispatch if necessary $17 per hour Skills & experience you need: High school diploma or equivalent. Basic reading, writing and math skills and the ability to use computer applications. Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment. Ability to assess a situation, use quick and reasonable judgment and resolve problems diplomatically. Exceptional customer service and communications skills and a friendly demeanor. Experience working in security and/or law enforcement, and/or working in an RV environment, is a benefit. Valid drivers license, good driving record and current auto insurance. Ability to working weekends and holidays on a regular basis.
