Veterinary Technician

VCA Aurora Animal Hospital, is looking for a Certified Veterinary Technician to join our team! Schedule: FT 3-4/10 hr days Compensation: $ 22 - $ 28 / hr Location: 2600 W Galena Blvd, Aurora, IL 60506 Requirements: Minimum 5+ years of experience (CVT or assistant open to either) Proficient in general anesthesia and sedation Experience with critical care and occasional ER support Comfortable with triage and assessing patient stability Strong understanding of vaccine and preventative care protocols Skilled in administering blood medications and placing IV catheters Able to safely handle challenging behavioral cases, including large dogs Capable of managing a high caseload in a busy, 3-doctor practice Strong critical thinking and forward-planning abilities Effective communicator in both team settings and with clients Solid problem-solving skills Benefits of joining the VCA Team!
