SUMMARY Project Engineer will be responsible for the Aftermarket Service & Supportability requirements of Government Programs. Lead a team of R&M engineers and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Bridge the gap between Design Engineering and Product Support Engineering to ensure that the aftermarket service & support products are aligned with vehicle configuration, customer needs and growth strategies. This individual is responsible for interpretation, planning, and execution of R&M requirements on various Oshkosh Defense programs. Provide statistical analysis, data reduction, failure trend & failure analysis, prognostic and diagnostic implications of designs into presentations for senior management. Improve product/program effectiveness through identification and elimination of inefficiencies and participate in planning efforts of department capacity, goals, and objectives. Champion continuous improvement efforts throughout all phases of the project cycle within the department. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES R&M activities include but are not limited to Reliability Analysis (FRACAS/FMECA), Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM), Level of Repair Analysis (LORA) and Maintenance Task Analysis (MTA). Manage and direct a team of R&M engineers focused on the activities listed above. Identify required personnel, tooling, equipment, and support information necessary to perform maintenance tasks on heavy duty vehicles Responsible for creating & maintaining departmental processes & procedures Provide leadership to technical staff including resource planning, scheduling, and administration to ensure department success. Recommend actions required to maintain schedule and cost targets Prepare technical proposals, quotations, reports, and presentations Perform job duties in an ethical and professional manner consistent with the Oshkosh Way. Coordinate with other department managers and chief engineers regarding the R&M interface. Interpret government program R&M requirements and develop necessary plans to meet R&M contract requirements and execute them. Develop and exercise reliability mathematical models Analyze test data for failure trends Research, study, and propose use of new technologies to be used in the development of new and improved processes and products. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS Bachelors degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or equivalent). 5-plus years of related experience in reliability & maintainability engineering. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office Products: Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Experience with CAD Modeling software and interpretation of engineering drawings and schematics. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS CDRL (Contract data requirement list) development and submissions, MIL-standards, Government contracts. Experience with PowerlogJ, Microsoft Access, JD Edwards MRP System, or other database software. Familiarity with Compass (used for LORA) and WRR (Windchill Risk and Reliability). Experience with Catia, Creo, and Windchill. Experience leading a team of direct reports. Pay Range: $82,900.00 - $134,300.00 The above pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target pay for the position across all U.S. locations. Within this range, individual pay is determined by various factors, including the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate's experience, education and skills, as well as the equity of pay among team members in similar positions.
