Posted Job Title Temporary Food Service Worker; Penn Dining Services Job Profile Title Temporary Local 54 Job Description Summary Residential & Hospitality Services is one of 18 departments reporting to the Division of Business Services. Consistent with the Business Services mission, our underlying philosophy is to provide our clients with high quality services in a fiscally responsible manner. Residential & Hospitality Services is a group of dedicated, innovative, and student-centered staff that oversee the on-campus living and dining, as well as conferences, programs and events hosted at Penn. The team works closely with other partners to provide students and guests with services that support living and learning at the University of Pennsylvania. Job Description Responsibilities During meal periods, employees are responsible for serving and restocking food, beverages, condiments, dishes and other items in their proper areas in an attractive, safe and sanitary fashion. Employees are expected to, in accordance with unit needs, assist with the maintenance of other areas in the dining halls, including but not limited to dining rooms, tray belts, dishroom carts, lowerators, bus carts, and warming carts. Employees are also responsible for insuring the cleanliness, sanitation and proper storage of all tools (including brooms, dustpans, vacuums, mops, buckets, towels, aprons) and utensils utilized. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications A High School Diploma or GED is preferred and 0 to 1 year of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Recent experience in food service preferred. Demonstrated customer service skills. Ability to communicate and implement management direction. Ability to lift 10 - 25lbs. Must be willing to work flexible hours, 7 day per week operation. Job Location - City, State Philadelphia, Pennsylvania Department / School Residential and Hospitality Services Pay Range $7.25 - $16.80 Hourly Rate Salary offers are made based on the candidates qualifications, experience, skills, and education as they directly relate to the requirements of the position, and in alignment with salary ranges based on external market data for the jobs level.
