Were looking for you to join our team as a Principal Operations Research Analyst in the Factory & Material Estimating team in the Pricing & Estimating organization within Business Management based out of Linthicum, MD. Full-Time telework may be considered for this role although the preferred location is on-site. This position offers the 9/80 schedule. What Youll Get to Do Engage with various proposal teams across the MS Sector as you help to build up Material and Labor cost estimates. Develop in house tools/solutions to drive efficiency and maintain compliance with FAR/DFAR requirements. Analyze data and develop sector wide cost factors and cost estimating relationships, while assisting in bringing estimating into the S4 environment. Roles and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: Primary responsibility to develop and maintain material and factory labor cost factors and cost estimating relationships (such as SARM, material quantity adjustment curve, and escalation) Secondarily, coordinate the preparation and documentation of priced Bill of Material (BOM) and Factory Labor cost estimate developments as required Validate estimating approach and participate in customer negotiations Analyze historical data and perform ad hoc data mining and analytics Support Estimating System and Proposal Audits as well as Customer Fact Finding ensuring TINA compliance during all aspects of the proposal process Support Estimating transition of Tools and Methods from ERP2 to S4 Hana environment Basic Qualifications: Bachelors in a STEM field plus 5 Years of experience in pricing, operations, business management, or a related field (i.e. supply chain, etc.); OR Masters degree in a STEM field plus 3 years of experience; Will consider 9 years of applied experience in lieu of degree requirement. Experience w/VBA & SQL in Access and Excel US Citizenship is required Preferred Qualifications: Experience with bill of material or factory labor estimating and the QUEST estimating tool Experience with Purchase Orders, Routings, Cost Centers, Standards, & MRP Experience with DataWarehouse (ORAD) and Eclipse Experience with Analysis Office (AO) In depth knowledge of Pricing, Risk Analysis, Statistics, and other quantitative analytical tools. Working knowledge of Enterprise Pricing Software (i.e., ProPricer). Advanced skill level with SAP. Primary Level Salary Range: $98,900.00 - $148,300.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
