BENEFITS INFORMATION: For information on Syscos Benefits, please visit https://SyscoBenefits.com $20.00/hour Mon-Fri 7:30am-4:00pm JOB SUMMARY Responsible for receiving, stocking, preparation and shipping of merchandise to customers in local and outlying areas. RESPONSIBILITIES Accurately select/pick merchandise from assigned slot and confirm the correct quantity and unit of measure. Load Merchandise into appropriate truck. Drop merchandise for "reserve" to "pick" slots. Prepare VIA merchandise for shipment on freight lines. Repack loose merchandise for shipping/delivery. Verify quality of product, packaging and adherence to vendor compliance policy. Accurately adhere to Warehouse Labor Standard, Preferred Method Standard. Identify and report slot and put-away problems. Shrink wrap merchandise/pallets after picking as needed. Performs housekeeping duties as assigned. Perform other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS Required: Ability to operate forklift/pallet jack and cherry picker; ability to lift 40-60 pounds repeatedly each shift. Ability to bend, stoop, climb, stand and twist for extended periods of time. Ability to successfully complete forklift training/certification requirements. Ability to operate Voice to Pick System or Radio Frequency (RF) system. Preferred: High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Previous knowledge of SAP One year warehouse experience and previous forklift certification. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Work Environment The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those associate encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Job is performed in a warehouse/operations environment. Frequently exposed to fast-moving material handling equipment or other mechanical equipment, extreme cold or heat in freezer/cooler warehouse environments including a temperature of zero degrees. Regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, containing toxic or caustic chemicals, low voltage electrical equipment, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment usually is loud. This is a full-time position. Must have the ability to work a varied schedule which might include shift work (days or nights), weekdays or weekends, and some holidays. Work hours may vary or change based on customer orders, departmental or business requirements. The position does not require travel.
