About the Role As an Apprentice Electrician at Z-Modular, a division of Zekelman Industries, located in Chandler, AZ, you will support licensed electricians by assisting with the installation, alteration, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment at construction jobsites. This role is ideal for someone pursuing a career in the electrical trade who is safety-focused, mechanically inclined, and eager to learn in a hands-on environment. What Youll Do Assist electricians by performing tasks under direct supervision during electrical installations and repairs. Handle, organize, and maintain tools, materials, and equipment to ensure efficient workflow. Perform conduit bending and installation tasks. Install electrical equipment including switchgear, panels, starters, lighting fixtures, and controls. Pull, terminate, and label electrical wiring according to specifications. Install electrical devices and components as required. Troubleshoot basic electrical systems under supervision. Read and follow safety rules, company policies, and MSDS documentation. Maintain a clean and orderly work area at all times. Demonstrate safe work habits and proper care of tools and equipment. Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times, including hard hats and safety glasses; respirators when required. Perform additional duties as assigned. Maintain regular, full-time, predictable onsite attendance. Who You Are High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Reliable transportation to job sites required. Willingness to apply for and maintain a State Electrical Apprentice License. Basic knowledge of hand and power tools. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately. Strong work ethic with attention to detail and commitment to safety. Work Environment Regular travel to construction sites required. Work performed indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. Work conducted around active construction equipment and electrical systems. Physical Abilities Ability to work from ladders, scaffolds, aerial lifts, and elevated platforms. Ability to work at heights up to 90 feet and in confined or restricted spaces (switchgear rooms, crawl spaces, utility tunnels, attics). Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull objects weighing more than 50 pounds. Ability to stand, walk, kneel, crouch, bend, reach, and perform repetitive motions throughout the shift. Ability to work 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week, with overtime and night shifts as required.
