We have an immediate opening for a Laborer at Hidden Valley Compost, a Waste Connections company, in Puyallup, WA. In this position, you'll wear many hats, with primary duties including flagging traffic, operating minor equipment, performing general labor, and assisting customers. If you dont mind getting your hands dirty and are a self-motivated, hardworking individual with good communication skills, we want to talk to you. This is a full-time, year-round position with a great company. The schedule is Wednesday through Saturday, 7:30 am to 6 pm. The position pays between $21.00 and $23.00 per hour. Please do not call or stop by the local facility. Responsibilities: Perform various duties at the transfer station. Flag and direct traffic coming through the facility. Assist and interact with customers as needed. Driving within the landfill occasionally requires a clear driving record and a valid drivers license. Ideal Candidate Will Have: At least one year of experience in a physically demanding outdoor job. Manage and work in environments with unpleasant odors. The ability to stand outside for a 10-hour shift. The capability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly. Flexibility to work at multiple locations if required. A high school diploma or equivalent. A clear driving record and a valid drivers license. The ability to pass a drug screen and pre-employment background check, as this is a safety-sensitive role.
