The Talent Acquisition Specialist (TAS) is responsible for full-cycle, high-volume recruiting to drive the growth of various operational areas of the organization. The TAS hosts and coordinates hiring events within the community, facilitates recruiting and onboarding training, and delivers stellar customer service to internal and external customers. Duties and Responsibilities Owns full-cycle recruiting for assigned requisitions from intake through accepted offer, maintaining urgency, accountability, and a strong candidate and hiring manager experience. Partners with hiring managers to build strong, collaborative relationships while establishing role requirements, candidate profiles, interview processes, recruiting strategies, and timelines; provides ongoing market insights and recommends adjustments as needed. Sources and recruits candidates through active and passive methods using tools like Indeed and LinkedIn, managing high-volume requisition loads across multiple roles/locations Maintains the ATS with timely updates to requisitions, candidate status, interview notes, and related documentation Plans and coordinates hiring events, job fairs, and community recruitment initiatives to build local talent pipelines Supports new hire orientation and recruiting-related training for hiring managers and new employees Drafts and extends offer letters by next business day; assists with negotiations and tracks acceptance timelines Advises hiring managers on recruiting best practices, HR compliance, and company policy Partners with recruiting agencies as approved, and provides regular recruiting updates/metrics to stakeholders Maintains strong, collaborative relationships with hiring managers, HR partners, and stakeholders Regularly and reliably reports to work on time each working day Performs other duties as assigned Qualifications Bachelor's degree in HR, business administration, or related field, or equivalent work experience required 3+ years of full-cycle, high-volume recruiting experience required Experience coordinating hiring events, job fairs, or community outreach preferred Experience facilitating training or presenting to groups preferred HR professional certification preferred, not required Proficiency with ATS required; Workday experience preferred Proficiency with job boards/sourcing platforms (Indeed, LinkedIn, ZipRecruiter) required Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook, SharePoint) required Strong customer service, communication, and organizational skills; bilingual English/Spanish preferred Strong judgment, problem-solving skills, and ability to adapt recruiting strategies based on business needs and market conditions Working Conditions This role sits onsite in our corporate office in Virginia Beach, VA. The compensation range for this role is $65,000-$75,000. Salary is based on experience. Final compensation will be based on an evaluation of each candidate's qualifications, relevant experience, demonstrated capabilities, and work location.
