What this Job Entails: The Network Operations Engineer II is a network and server support engineer for CDN cluster environments. This position requires the ability to work independently with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Scope: Applies company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues Works on problems of moderate scope Receives general instructions on routine work and detailed instructions on new projects Your Roles and Responsibilities: Assist with global production content delivery network deployments Participate in production and corporate network and internet peering strategies Experience with server hardware technologies relative to content delivery performance and capacity Day-to-day activities involve working on multiple vendor servers and various software and hardware issues Handle traffic and any other queries raised by ISP/partners Support team in handling switches for any incidents such as input errors, CRC, RMA etc. Work with ISP/vendors on fixing any issues related to network Participate in 24/7 support with other teams across the globe. Required Qualifications/Skills: Bachelors degree (B.S/B.A) from four-college or university and 2 to 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience Builds productive internal and external working relationships Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action Understanding of fiber-optic technology including cable types, connector types, optic types, patch panels, and optical transport technologies Understanding of preparing root cause analysis for any network and server outages Programming and scripting capabilities Strong communication skills, including the ability to work with service providers, colocation facilities, and ISPs around the world Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in a multi-vendor network environment. Network certifications, including server level certifications Physical Demand & Work Environment: Must have the ability to perform office-related tasks which may include prolonged sitting or standing Must have the ability to move from place to place within an office environment Must be able to use a computer Must have the ability to communicate effectively Some positions may require occasional repetitive motion or movements of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers Salary Range $72,960.00 - $115,200.00 USD (Salary) Please note that the salary information provided herein is base pay only (gross); it does not include other forms of compensation which may or may not apply to this specific position, namely, performance-based bonuses, benefits-related payments, or other general incentives - none of which are guaranteed, may be subject to specific eligibility requirements, and are wholly within the discretion of Astreya to remit.
