A Nuclear Surety Systems Engineer has the opportunity to get in on the ground floor of a system designed to provide another 50 years of security for this great nation. Nuclear Surety ensures that nuclear weapons are protected against peacetime and wartime threats at all times. A Nuclear Surety Systems Engineer at Northrop Grumman on the Sentinel program will be provided the opportunity to: Perform decomposition of Department of Defense safety manuals into requirements and allocating them to design teams for implementation Provide systems engineering expertise to the design, integration, and testing of a next generation ICBM weapon system Participate in technical planning, system integration, verification, validation, cost, risk, supportability, and analysis for mechanical, electrical, and integrated systems Evaluate the physical security design based on the Department of Defense Safety manuals Interface directly with various compartments of the Department of Defense and Department of Energy to ensure safe design and operation of nuclear weapon systems Use model based engineering tools on a major weapon system to pioneer a new way to evaluate and analyze modern design Learn a niche discipline that spans all aspects of Nuclear Power and Munitions Basic Qualifications: A candidate must meet ALL the criteria below. The candidate must: Be completing or has completed their degree (Bachelors or Masters) from an accredited institution. Be majoring in or having majored in Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Nuclear Engineering. Be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite). Preferred Qualifications: Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.70/4.0 or higher Current active Secret Security Clearance or higher Salary Range for Roy, UT: $62,200- $93,400 The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
