With over $5 billion in revenue and almost 20,000 employees in 600 offices throughout North America, HUB has grown substantially, in part due to our industry leading success in mergers and acquisitions Job Summary The Associate Compensation Consultant is a member of the Workforce Solutions Team, contributing directly to client engagements in the area of compensation consulting. Working closely with senior consultants and practice leadership, this role provides hands-on analytical and project support with a primary focus on developing compensation market analysis deliverables that inform and drive client consulting outcomes. The position requires the application of knowledge in compensation and human resources to interpret data, draw conclusions and produce client-ready consulting materials with minimal supervision. Job Duties and Responsibilities Exercises independent judgement to review and interpret background information (e.g., project proposal, client website, org charts, job descriptions, pay structures, compensation policies, etc.) to assess client needs and determine the appropriate analytical approach for each client engagement. Applies discretion in utilizing and customizing market analysis templates (Excel files and Word documents) to configure project files with appropriate branding, data sources, labor market scope factors and job titles, ensuring 100% accuracy. Independently evaluates and compiles compensation data from multiple online sources, applying professional judgement to select appropriate comparators and educate clients on market-competitive compensation rates. Conducts thorough quality reviews of project work and finalizes project files into PDF deliverables used in client consulting. Updates files, as needed, based on client feedback. Reviews and edits proposals, presentations and reports. Utilizes Adobe Acrobat to finalize into prospect and client deliverables. Completes research on compensation and HR best practices and trends. Summarizes findings used for consulting with clients. Updates market analysis templates monthly to reflect current effective dates for market analysis data sources. Responsible for updating compensation marketing materials (e.g., market analysis samples, peer analysis samples, etc.) at least twice a year. Develops new marketing materials as needed. Performs other duties as necessary. Education and Experience Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field preferred. One to three years professional experience required. Human Resources and/or Compensation experience preferred. Job Requirements Basic knowledge of compensation and human resources trends, best practices and related laws. Very strong attention to detail to ensure accurate information is presented and in a visually appealing manner. Enjoys working with numerical data and formulas. Has strong Excel skills. Strong proofreading and editing skills. Proficient with other Microsoft applications, including Outlook, Word and PowerPoint. Ability to organize, prioritize and handle multiple work assignments and shifting priorities. Ability to keep work on schedule and meet project deadlines with expected work quality. Quick learner with common sense. Research skills and the ability to compile data and information from multiple sources and synthesize it to create a big-picture understanding of the topic. Clear communicator, both verbally and in writing. Receptive to feedback. Driven to achieve outstanding results and seeks opportunities to learn new things. The expected salary range for this position is $ 55,000 to $60,000 and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidates skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific positions business line, scope and level.
